Oakland - A real map

This was made as a joke for an Oakland Community Forum to explain Oakland's sections.
Some people want to truly argue that Downtown is not the heart of Oakland and that East Oakland should be South Oakland.
Being born and raised here in Oakland I took the time to break it down how the streets do.
E.S.O. (East Side Oakland), Deep East, West Bound and the North Pole. With of course Downtown being in the middle of it all.

It was basically an answer to this site here which seems like some excuse for media attention for their art project. I see them asking this question, "Where is East Oakland?" and riding bikes around, however they take all this time and money of their own yet they do nothing to improve Oakland. Oakland is old and defined. We do not need to reestablish borders. if you have all the time and money maybe start community centers for children and teens. Not ride a bike around with your art project.

Sorry if I offended anyone with this picture or rant, but the picture was a joke and the rant is sort of how I feel about that whole non movement. If I had the spare time, money and man power I would like to make a difference.
